JOEPRESSO™ is the new attachment for the AeroPress® that transforms it from an immersion brewer to a pressurized percolation brewer, much like a traditional espresso machine. Instead of steeping coffee grinds in water, you force the hot water through a finely-ground layer of coffee beans. The result is a full bodied, strong espresso, complete with crema.

Drip coffee has up to 2% of Total Dissolved Solids or TDS, espresso has 8% to 12% TDS. JOEPRESSO™ can produce 10% Brix or 8.5 TDS, 18% extraction yield. This test was made using a classic 1:2 ratio espresso, 14g of medium-dark roast coffee freshly ground, 29g of finished product.
